For those with Misophonia

Misophonia, translated as "the hatred of sound", is defined by a person's intense emotional, physiological, and behavioral reactions. 

If you've ever noticed that certain noises (referred to as triggers) cause undue discomfort or panic, then you may have experienced misophonia. Since the condition is relatively new and understudied, there is a glaring lack of knowledge within the larger medical community, which may be why you've never heard of it. In the same vein, there is currently no official treatment or cure for the condition.

Misophonia can be highly disrupting to daily life, that is why learning about it more can help you first understand the condition, and then learn to cope with it.
